Avistar Communications has demonstrated it Avistar C3 Media Engine working with the Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop product line. Avistar claims that the C3 Media Engine can automatically integrate scalable high quality audio and visual conferencing to support video or audio calls as a plug-in component.    The product requires no integration or adjustment of latency or quality settings, working seamlessly with Citrix products.

Chris Lauwers, Chief Technology Officer for Avistar said, "Until now, there was a tremendous pent up demand but no visual communications solutions for the terminal and thin client market. Avistar solves an important issue for Citrix users by providing a robust visual communications experience while leveraging all the benefits of the Citrix platform,"  Avistar has claims that there is no need to replace existing unified communication hardware and software to add its audio and visual technology.    In 2008 the company revenue grew by 62 percent from the prior year, and it expects to achieve a 75 percent growth rate in 2009.
